This is not an autobiography of who I think I am, but a biography written by the one who knows me best. To know who I am you must hear it from my creator.
For this is my child (1 John 3:1), I knew her before she was born (Jeremiah 1:5), for I created her in my image (Genesis 1:27). She was shaped in righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:24) and was made complete through my son Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:9-10). She is spotless in my eyes (1 Peter 1:19), for she was fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14). I created her to be a witness (Acts 1:8) of my transformative work in her life, through grace (Ephesians 2:8). She is called to love those around her because I loved her first. (1 John 4:19). I have filled her with joy and peace and with overflowing hope (Romans 15:13). The peace I provide guards her heart and mind (Philippians 4:6-7), for I have promised to protect her (Psalms 91:14). I have dressed her in strength (Proverbs 31:17) so she may run and not grow weary (Isaiah 40:30-31). For I have called her to give herself fully to work (1 Corinthians 15:58) for whatever she does it is done in my name (Colossians 3:17). I have called her away from arrogance, violence, and greediness (Titus 1:7). Instead, she is labeled hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined (Titus 1:8). Through me and my commands she will bear much fruit (John 15:5). I have bought her with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20); therefore, she is precious to me (Isaiah 43:4). In my eyes she is far more valuable than jewels (Proverbs 31:10).
My creator has declared all this and more over my life. My identity is not placed in this world but defined by the work of my savior on the cross.
